Consultant of the Month | Jodi Bourdin

Author: Andrew Martin          Posted: January 21, 2022

Please help us congratulate MHA Rockstar, Jodi Bourdin, as Consultant of the Month for January. Jodi started with MHA back in January of 2018, and her experience and passion for our industry have been an invaluable asset to the MHA team. She’s an incredibly hard worker and always gives 110% effort in everything she does. Jodi is just another perfect example of an MHA Rockstar, and we would be lost without her.

As a consultant, Jodi focuses on home health and hospice EMR implementation training, on-site or virtually, and specializes in electronic forms creation and revisions. This will help clients realize optimal EMR utilization to enable exceptional care quality. She also takes immense pleasure in helping onboard newly hired consultants, making them feel welcomed and comfortable with their roles as MHA consultants.

Background

Before working for MHA, Jodi had a clinical background in Physical Therapy and worked in home health & hospice since 1994. She is also certified in OASIS (COS-C) and Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience since 2005.

Jodi hales from Mississippi, originally from Natchez, and currently resides in Clinton. She has been happily married to her childhood sweetheart for 38 years and can’t wait for 38 years more. Jodi enjoys going on day trip/off-road adventures and Cajun dancing with her husband. Jodi has a love for the beach and aquariums, having seriously considered becoming a marine biologist as marine life conservation remains near and dear to her heart.

MHA Experience

We asked Jodi why she likes working for MHA and here’s what she had to say, “I love to help agencies streamline their pathways/assessment forms as it can lead to improved efficiency and field staff satisfaction. I also very much enjoy helping agencies make individualized changes to their databases to assure that their field staff are guided towards quality documentation that supports regulatory compliance. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than to see someone have that lightbulb moment. Home health and hospice workers are some of the most amazing people you could ever meet, and it is an honor and a privilege to serve them in any way that I can.”

When asked about her experience at MHA, Jodi said the following, “I have found my dream job, and because I absolutely love what I do it doesn’t feel like work at all, but instead it’s a daily adventure with some of the best colleagues in the country!”

Thank you for all your hard work! MHA thanks you and congratulates you, Jodi! The honor is well-deserved.
