Consultant of the Month | Keri Shockley

Author: Andrew Martin          Posted: March 25, 2022

We are very happy to announce Keri Shockley as March’s Consultant of the Month! Keri is an awesome asset to the MHA team and our clients. Her dependability and industry experience in the post-acute space puts her at the head of the pack. She has recently been promoted to a Senior Consultant with MHA. Congratulations to MHA Rockstar, Keri Shockley.

Keri came to MHA mid-pandemic, in August of 2020, after being laid off due to COVID. She is highly proficient in using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) in the intake, scheduling, and medical records roles. “Keri’s can-do attitude and eagerness to grow & lead is what makes her an MHA Rockstar. She is always open to new objectives and executes them flawlessly,” says Senior Consultant, Baily Woodhams. “I know we can always rely on Keri.”

Background

Before joining MHA as a consultant, Keri was a Patient Care Coordinator/Intake Coordinator for a home health & hospice in Texas. She also did on-call nursing visits and was an aide supervisor.

Keri resides in Ennis, Texas with her family. She just recently celebrated her 14th anniversary with her husband, Josh, and they have two amazing sons - Landon, 13, & Liam, 9. They are Keri’s greatest source of joy, and nothing gives her more pride than watching them become young men.

Keri has a passion for cooking, especially for a crowd! During the pandemic, Keri has gotten into baking bread and rolls. She has also a big reader. If she loves a book, she will reread it multiple times. She phrases it as “visiting an old friend again.”

MHA Experience

As an MHA consultant, Keri primarily works on HCHB implementations, onsite & remotely, as well as being a Site Lead on projects. As mentioned, Keri has a background in home health and hospice back office. She feels her experience gives her a unique perspective and can empathize with the staff onsite. Having been in their shoes before, she knows how stressful and difficult those processes can be for the customer. Keri tries to draw from these experiences and all the other projects she has worked on thus far.

“Keri’s desire and willingness fuels our mutual efforts and guides us to success within MHA. It gives me immense pride in saying to everyone how great Keri is as a team member,” said Kevin Jones, Director of Field Operations. “Her diligence and detailed approach towards her work and our customers have set a benchmark for our team and MHA!”

When asked why she enjoys working for MHA, Keri had this to say: “I cannot say enough about the team I work alongside. Never have I worked with so many genuinely kind and helpful people. There is such a wealth of knowledge, and everyone is always so eager to help. No one would let you down on a project for sure.”

Congratulations, Keri! You embody what it means to be an MHA Rockstar.
